Susan Anton

Standing 5'11" with blonde hair and blue eyes, Susan Anton is an American actress, former beauty pageant contestant, and model. She was born in Oak Glen, California, and began her long career in 1969 at age 18. Over 53 years, she has worked across television, film, theater, and music.

Her first film role in Goldengirl (1979) earned her a Golden Globe nomination, and she soon starred in her own NBC variety show, Presenting Susan Anton (1979). She later had a development deal with ABC and appeared in the drama Cliffhangers. On Broadway, she co-starred in The Will Rogers Follies and worked with Mike Nichols in Hurlyburly. She also played Velma Von Tussle in the Las Vegas production of Hairspray opposite Harvey Fierstein, reprised the role at the Hollywood Bowl, and toured in All Shook Up. For seven years, she performed in The Great Radio City Music Hall Spectacular with the Rockettes. She toured with Kenny Rogers and had a top 10 country hit with "Killing Time," and her song "Foxy" earned a Gold record internationally.

Susan and her husband, director Jeff Lester, have lived in Las Vegas for over 20 years. In 1997 they opened Big Picture Studios, where she executive-produced the award-winning The Last Real Cowboys (2000) and the documentary Speed of Life (2008). She is also a minority partner in Spa Girl Cocktails. She is listed in Baywatch Babes.
