Surveen Chawla

Surveen Chawla is an Indian actress who has built a career across Hindi, Punjabi, and Tamil cinema, as well as television. Born in Chandigarh, Punjab, India, she began her journey in entertainment in 2003 at age 18. That year, she made it to the final 25 of the reality show Coke [V] Popstars season 2. Her television debut came as Charu in the serial Kahin To Hoga, followed by roles in Kasautii Zindagi Kay and the lead in Kaajjal. She also hosted Comedy Circus Ke SuperStars and competed on the dance show Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena, paired with cricketer S. Sreesanth.

Chawla moved into films with the Kannada feature Paramesha Panwala, then appeared in the Punjabi film Dharti (2011). She became one of the highest paid Punjabi actresses, starring in Taur Mittran Di, Saadi Love Story, Singh vs Kaur, Lucky Di Unlucky Story, and Disco Singh (2014). Her filmography spans languages, including Tamil roles in Moondru Per Moondru Kadhal and Puthiya Thiruppangal. She performed her first item number, "Dhoka Dhoka," in Himmatwala. In 2013, she appeared in Anurag Kashyap's thriller Ugly. She is also known for Hate Story 2 (2014), Parched (2015), and the series 24 (2016). In 2018, she starred in the web series Haq Se.
