Sunny Leone

Leone entered the adult industry in 2001 after a classmate introduced her to an exotic dancer, which led to a connection with Penthouse photographer Jay Allen. She chose the stage name 'Sunny' after her little brother's nickname, and 'Leone' was suggested by Penthouse publisher Bob Guccione. She was named Penthouse Pet of the Month in March 2001 and Pet of the Year in 2003. In 2005, she signed a three-year contract with Vivid Entertainment, becoming a 'Vivid Girl' and starring in over 60 adult films. She initially performed only lesbian scenes, but began boy/girl scenes in 2007 with her then-fiancé Matt Erikson. In 2009, she co-founded Sunlust Pictures with her husband, Daniel Weber, producing independent films. She retired from adult films in 2013 and was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame in 2018.

Transitioning to mainstream entertainment, Leone worked as a red carpet reporter for MTV India, appeared in films like The Girl Next Door and The Virginity Hit, and made her Bollywood debut in 2012 with Jism 2, a commercial success. She went on to star in films such as Ragini MMS 2, Ek Paheli Leela, and Raees, and participated in Bigg Boss 5. Her documentary, Mostly Sunny, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. She has been recognized with numerous awards, including AVN Crossover Star of the Year and Pinkvilla Style Icons Award. Beyond entertainment, she supports charitable causes, owns a perfume line called Lust, and enjoys painting. She is married to Daniel Weber and has three children. As of March 2026, she has 55.9 million Instagram followers.
