Srabanti Chatterjee

Indian actress and journalist Srabanti Chatterjee was born on 13 August 1987 in Calcutta, West Bengal, India. She began her career in 1997 and has been active for nearly three decades, primarily in Bengali-language films. Before her acting career took off, she worked as an anchor and journalist at ABP News. With 3.6 million Instagram followers, she has a substantial online presence.

Chatterjee's professional life has been intertwined with politics and controversy. In March 2021, she joined the Bharatiya Janata Party and contested the 2021 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election from Behala Paschim. She lost to TMC heavyweight Partha Chatterjee by 50,884 votes. Eight months later, in November 2021, she quit the party.
