Shelby Sullivan

Shelby's athletic background is impressive. She is the daughter of Hop and Holly Sullivan and has a younger brother, Luke, and a younger sister, Annie Frances. Her cousin, Katie O'Brien, was an outside hitter at Missouri, and her second cousin once removed, Laurie Corbelli, coached volleyball at Texas A&M. Shelby began playing volleyball when she was 10 and was heavily recruited in high school. She committed to Texas A&M, where she wore No. 2, inspired by former standout Kelsey Black. During her senior season, her most memorable moment was winning the 2012 SEC Western Division. She also cites beating Kentucky for the first time in SEC history and winning at USC as highlights. Off the court, she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority and the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.

Shelby also excelled at the Pepsi/NFL Punt, Pass & Kick competition. She won the national title in 2006 at an Indianapolis Colts playoff game and again in 2007 at a New Orleans Saints playoff game. In addition to sports, she has given back to her community. She volunteered at Still Creek Ranch, tutored students at Still Creek Christian Academy, packed boxes at the Brazos Valley Food Bank, helped students move into dorms, and taught helmet safety at Hard Hats for Little Heads. Shelby received her Aggie Ring on September 25, 2015. She enrolled in Mays Business School's 5-year Professional Program, earning a bachelor's in accounting and a master's in finance. She planned to graduate in May 2017 with both degrees, aiming to become a partner at a major accounting firm or a CFO/CEO. Her hobbies include spending time with family and friends, dining out, shopping, being outdoors, and attending sporting events.
