Shana Dowdeswell

Actress Shana Dowdeswell began her career at age eight and appeared in films and on television over an eight-year span from 2004 to 2012. She was born on April 1, 1989, in Harare, Zimbabwe, and later moved to New York City, where she attended City and Country School, PS 3, and PPAS High School. One of her notable roles was playing Anne Frank at the Papermill Playhouse. She was a Zimbabwean actress of Caucasian ethnicity. She stood 5'3" tall, weighed 115 lbs, and had natural breasts. She had brown hair. She died on December 12, 2012, at the age of 23.

Shana had a lively personal life. She traveled extensively, returning to Africa and making frequent trips to Paris and London, where she had beloved family. Most recently, she went to Canada with her boyfriend Cameron Moneo. She was described as a bright spirit, a generous and hopeful girl who collected hundreds of friends and extended family. On the night of December 7, 2012, she drank several shots of whiskey over two and a half hours at a Greenwich Village bar called The Basement. She stumbled home and passed out on her parents' doorstep. A dog walker found her unconscious the next morning, and she was taken to Beth Israel Medical Center with a blood alcohol content of 0.39, five times the legal driving limit. She died five days later of acute and chronic alcoholism. She was only 23.
