About Sarah Jessica Parker
Actress Sarah Jessica Parker has spent over five decades in the entertainment industry, beginning her career as a child performer on Broadway. Born in Nelsonville, Ohio, she made her Broadway debut at age 11 in the 1976 revival of The Innocents, then starred as the title character in the musical Annie in 1979. Her early film roles included Footloose (1984) and Firstborn (1984), followed by a string of 1990s hits such as L.A. Story, Honeymoon in Vegas, Hocus Pocus, Ed Wood, and The First Wives Club.
Parker achieved global fame as Carrie Bradshaw in the HBO series Sex and the City (1998–2004), a role that earned her two Primetime Emmy Awards and four Golden Globe Awards. She reprised the character in the films Sex and the City (2008) and Sex and the City 2 (2010), and later in the revival series And Just Like That... (2021–present). The character became one of the most iconic in American television history. Parker has also appeared in such films as The Family Stone (2005), Failure to Launch (2006), and Hocus Pocus 2 (2022). Her television work includes roles in Glee and the HBO series Divorce (2016–2019), for which she received a Golden Globe nomination. Since 2005, she has run her production company, Pretty Matches.
Parker is widely regarded as a fashion icon. She has been labeled a fashion icon due to her style and frequent Met Gala appearances. She stands 5'3" with blue eyes and brown hair.
