Biography

About Rosina Revelle

Edited by the community

British glamour model Rosina Revelle began her brief career in the late 1950s. She was born circa 1940 in Warwickshire, England, the daughter of a Maltese shopkeeper. As a teenager, she entered several local beauty contests. In the late fifties, she began posing topless for photographer Russell Gay, who featured her in his magazines, including QT. Gay's pictorials provided what little autobiographical detail is known about her. They claimed she had worked as a ballet dancer, a cinema usherette, and a shop assistant. One magazine reported she also worked as a stripper in Soho, performing at the Winston Club and the Nell Gwynne Club. She used the modeling names Flo Langley and Brigitte La Rue. Gay's magazines poetically called her "the Aphrodite of this modern age…one of the more beautiful of natures products in Shakespeare's county." They also emphasized her resemblance to Brigitte Bardot.

Rosina made her only known film appearance in an 8mm glamour home movie titled "Daddy Likes Em Buxom." At 5'3" with a slim build and natural 46E bust, she stood out in an era that prized curves. Her career ended abruptly in 1959 when her parents discovered her glamour work and forced her to stop modeling. She was 86 years old in 2026. Her time in front of the camera was short, but her story remains a curious footnote in British glamour history.
