Biography
About Rosa Domaille
Rosa Domaille was a British glamour model whose career spanned 1959 to 1968, though her first published work appeared in 1957. She was born Rosa Annie Domaille on 30 August 1940 in Norton Radstock, Somerset, and grew up in Bath. Before modelling, she worked as a stitcher in a shoe factory. She dreamed of becoming a fashion model, but instead found fame as a pin-up, one of the most iconic glamour models of her era.
Her entry into modelling came through a recruiting campaign run by ToCo, a company that sought undiscovered talent. She sent in photographs and soon appeared in the June 1957 editions of Spick and Beautiful Britons. She went on to model for many publications, including Harrison Marks' titles such as QT, Kamera, and Solo. She also worked under the name Eve Eden when pursuing film and television opportunities. Her work ranged widely, from nudist magazines to more explicit solo material. She was known for her distinctive look: brown hair, brown eyes, 5'4" tall, with a 38–23–36 figure and a natural 32F bra cup.
Domaille also appeared in mainstream media, including a role in the Beatles' 1965 film Help!. She married Claudio Marinelli in 1969 and later lived in Nevada. She died on 28 December 2022 at the age of 82. Her career included collaborations with other models such as Lorraine Burnett, Paula King, Fiona Callum, and Marion Holmes. She was also a compere for stage shows. Her hobbies, according to ToCo, included cycling, cooking, and dancing. She shared a flat with fellow model Fiona Callum for a time. Her extensive list of magazine credits includes dozens of titles from the late 1950s through the mid-1960s, with appearances in Parade, Men Only, and Playboy, among others. She was one of Harrison Marks' most featured models.
