About Reiko Hayama

Edited by the community

Reiko Hayama is a Japanese actress and former AV idol from Nagoya, Aichi, Japan. Born on July 13, 1969, she stands 5'4" with a slim build and natural D-cup breasts. Her career spans several decades, though her time in the adult industry was brief. In 1988, at age 19, she made a landmark AV debut with the title "Virgo: The Downy Venus," which became an instant sensation and launched a famous series. That film remained her only AV appearance; she retired immediately after to focus on gravure and mainstream acting.

Hayama's entertainment career began long before that. As a child, she joined a children's theater group. In 1983, she won the "My Idol Award" at a beauty contest hosted by comedian Tamori. Her screen debut came at 15 in the 1984 NHK Educational TV drama "Junior High School Student's Diary." She was then scouted by Asai Kikaku and appeared in numerous commercials. In 1986, she launched a singing career under the Polydor label with the catchphrase "The Madonna of the Hawaiian Tribe," performing live in traditional muumuus. She later moved to Victor in 1990 and released tracks like "What, Shiteta?" and "P-Spot no Yuuwaku," an insert song for the show Gilgamesh Night in 1994.

After her AV retirement, Hayama turned to serious acting. In 1989, she appeared in the V-Cinema film "Crime Hunter 2: Bullet of Betrayal." She earned critical acclaim for her role as a traveling entertainer in the 1991 film "Kamigata Kugai Soshi." She also starred in erotic suspense films like the "Kankin Tobou" series. In the mid-1990s, she became a household name as a regular on the late-night variety show Gilgamesh Night, hosting its more provocative segments. Since the 2000s, she has taken on mature roles in stage plays, TV dramas, and films. Notable works include the 2012 film "Tsuma no Koibito" and a guest appearance in a 2018 finale of Keishicho Sousa Ikka Cho. She also appeared as a regular student on NHK's Spanish Conversation from 2006 to 2007, showing genuine linguistic skill. On stage, her 2017 performance as Otose in "Oiran no Kubi" is highly regarded.

In her personal life, Hayama married an Italian restaurant employee six years her junior in November 2014. They met through a mutual friend and married after a few months of dating. She describes their relationship as compatible and peaceful. Her interests include tennis, sports cars, visiting ancient temples, cooking, oil painting, and calligraphy. She remains fluent in Spanish. Now 57, she maintains the innocent charm of her idol days while adding a mature appeal. Her Instagram follower count is 7k.
