Rachel Nichols

American actress and model Rachel Nichols was born on January 8, 1980, in Augusta, Maine. She grew up in the United States and began modeling while attending Columbia University in New York City in the late 1990s. Her transition into acting came in the early 2000s with a bit part in the romantic drama "Autumn in New York" (2000) and a one-episode role on "Sex and the City" (2002).

Nichols' first major role was in the comedy "Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd" (2003). She then landed the lead in the crime drama series "The Inside" (2005), though it was canceled after one season. She gained recognition playing Rachel Gibson in the final season of "Alias" (2005–2006) and appeared in the horror film "The Amityville Horror" (2005). Her first starring film role came in the horror-thriller "P2" (2007). She appeared in "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2" (2008) and played a supporting role in "Star Trek" (2009).
