Poly Styrene

Poly Styrene was a British musician who fronted the punk rock band X-Ray Spex. Born in Bromley, Greater London, England, she started her career in 1976 and remained active until 2011. She was of Irish, Scottish, and Somali descent, which made her one of the few mixed-race figures in early punk.

Her real name was Marianne Joan Elliott-Said, but she adopted the stage name Poly Styrene. She had brown hair and brown eyes, with an average build. Styrene passed away on 25th April 2011, at the age of 53. She left a lasting impact on music, but her life was relatively short.
