Born Thursday 19th of September 1996 in Guam, Pia Mia Perez began her career posting song covers on YouTube, then caught the attention of American singer Babyface in 2010. Three years later, she signed with Interscope Records and worked with producer Nic Nac on her debut EP, The Gift (2013), which included her cover of Drake's 'Hold On, We're Going Home'.
In 2015, she released 'Do It Again' featuring Chris Brown and Tyga, her only single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, and it earned platinum certification from the RIAA. The following year, she appeared on will.i.am's 'Boys & Girls', which reached the top 40 in the UK. She left Interscope in 2017, briefly signed with Republic Records and Electric Feel Entertainment in 2020, then departed from both the next year.
