About Peyton List
American actress and model Peyton List was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on Friday, August 8, 1986. She grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, where she attended Cedarcroft pre-school, Calvert School, and the Roland Park Country School, and later studied ballet at the School of American Ballet in New York City. At the age of nine, she began modeling, and her first significant commercial appearance was as one of the "daughters next door" alongside her sister in Washington Square.
Her television career began in 2000 with a minor role on Sex and the City. The following year, she appeared in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and then started a three-year run as Lucy Montgomery on the soap opera As the World Turns. She left the soap in 2005 and went on to guest-star on shows like Smallville, Without a Trace, CSI: Miami, and One Tree Hill. In 2006, she landed a leading role on the short-lived drama Windfall, and later appeared in Big Shots and FlashForward. She also had a recurring role on Mad Men from 2008 to 2013, playing a secretary who becomes Roger Sterling's second wife. Her film credits include The Greatest Game Ever Played, Shuttle, and Meeting Evil.
In 2016, she was cast as the lead in the CW's Frequency, and in 2017 she took on the role of Poison Ivy on Gotham. Since 2021, she has appeared in a recurring role on The Rookie as Gennifer Bradford. Peyton shares her name with a younger actress born in 1998; to avoid confusion, the younger Peyton uses the middle initial R. They once appeared in the same scene on As the World Turns, and both provided voices for Batman: Hush.
