Paula Malcomson

From the small screen of Deadwood to the blockbuster stage of The Hunger Games, Paula Malcomson's career spans over three decades. She was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in 1970 and began acting in the early 1990s. Her early work was mostly in film, with small parts that gradually grew in size and prominence. A breakthrough came with roles in The Green Mile (1999) and A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001), which helped establish her as a gifted character actress.

Malcomson is particularly known for her television work. In 2006, she joined HBO's Deadwood, playing Trixie in a role that would become one of her most recognizable. She went on to work with creator David Milch again on John from Cincinnati. The late 2000s saw her appearing in a string of major shows, including ER, Lost, Law & Order: SVU, and CSI, as well as regular roles in Sons of Anarchy and Caprica. In 2012, she played the mother of Katniss Everdeen in the hugely successful film series, The Hunger Games. She then took on another television role in Ray Donovan.

Malcomson's work extends beyond acting; she has also directed and produced. A British native with red hair and blue eyes, she stands at 5'5" and has an average build, her natural measurements being 32–23–33. Her longevity in the industry is notable, having remained consistently active since 1992. She continues to be a familiar face in both film and television.
