About Parminder Nagra
Standing 5'2" with a slim build, Parminder Nagra has built a career spanning over three decades. She is a British actress of Indian Punjabi and Sikh heritage, born in Leicester, England. Her breakout role came as Jess Bhamra in the film Bend It Like Beckham (2002). She then played Dr. Neela Rasgotra on the NBC medical drama ER from 2003 to 2009. Her other television roles include Meera Malik in the first season of The Blacklist and Ellen Nadeer in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. More recently, she starred as the titular character in the ITV series DI Ray (2022). She started acting around age 15 in 1991 and has been active for 35 years.
