About Nichole Van Croft
Nichole Van Croft was a blonde, brown-eyed American centerfold with a slim build and a 36DD bust. She stood 5'5" and weighed 115 lbs, with measurements of 36–24–36. Born in Jacksonville, Florida, on November 5, 1973, she grew up as a tomboy, sporting a crewcut until she was 11 or 12. In high school, she played varsity volleyball and basketball, and even broke her collarbone playing football.
Her path to Playboy began unexpectedly. While eating pizza with girlfriends after a night of clubbing, a Playboy photographer approached her and gave her his card. The next day she called, scheduled a photo shoot, and within a week was offered a Playmate contract. She became the Playmate of the Month for October 2000 and later appeared in several Playboy videos. She also graced the pages of Maxim, FHM, and Stuff. Her Playboy honors included being named Playmate of the Month in Spain (November 2000), France (December 2000), and Croatia (June 2002).
In 2003, she came out as the first lesbian centerfold, though she later married two men. During a 2001 appearance on Howard Stern, she claimed that Hugh Hefner asked her to move into his bedroom, and when she refused, he cut her off from his personal life. She also won $1.2 million in a lawsuit against the NYPD after a 2006 incident in which she was allegedly assaulted by a police officer, suffering a neck injury. Nichole passed away on April 20, 2018, at age 44, in Bardstown, Kentucky. The cause of death was ruled homicide by strangulation, and she was buried in Conyers, Georgia. No suspects or motives were revealed.
