Nele Somers

Slim and blonde with blue eyes, Nele Somers brings a sharp legal mind to her activism work. She was born on May 6, 1984, in Antwerp, Belgium, and remains Belgian at heart. Long before her career in law, she won the Miss Belgian Beauty crown in 2008. She is married to former football player Philippe Snelders, and together they raise two children. In 2024, she took on a new challenge by appearing in The Smartest Person in the World, a TV competition that tests intellect rather than looks. Her journey from beauty pageant contestant to lawyer and activist shows a woman comfortable in many roles. Today, she uses her platform to advocate for causes she believes in, balancing her professional duties with family life.
