Natalya Mammadova

Standing 6'5", Natalya Mammadova was a towering presence on the volleyball court. Born on 2 December 1984 in Donetsk, Ukraine, she began her professional career around 2000 at just 15 years old. Over 21 years of active play, she established herself as one of the most successful Azerbaijani volleyball players of her generation. Natalya played as an outside hitter and represented the Azerbaijan national team from 2004 until 2018, earning a reputation as one of the country's most capped players. She announced her retirement from volleyball in May 2021. Her career spanned two decades, during which she competed at the highest levels and became widely recognized for her skill and longevity in the sport. Now 41, she remains a notable figure in volleyball history.
