Natalia Marisa Oreiro Iglesias was born on 19 May 1977 in Montevideo, Uruguay. She began her career in telenovelas at the age of 12, stepping into the public eye early. Since 2008 she has focused primarily on films, earning roles in productions like I'm Gilda (Gilda: no me arrepiento de este amor), Super Crazy (Re Loca), Clandestine Childhood (Infancia Clandestina), and The German Doctor (Wakolda). Her work has been showcased at major festivals including Cannes, San Sebastian, and Venice, and she has won 3 Silver Condor Awards and a Platino Award.
Oreiro is also a musician, having sold over 10 million records worldwide and earned nominations for the MTV Video Music Awards and the Latin Grammy Awards.
