Nastassja Kinski

Kinski's international breakthrough came with the 1978 film 'Stay as You Are,' but her defining role was the title character in Roman Polanski's 1979 'Tess,' for which she won a Golden Globe Award. That performance, adapted from Thomas Hardy's novel, cemented her reputation. She went on to star in Francis Ford Coppola's 'One from the Heart' (1981), the erotic horror 'Cat People' (1982), and Wim Wenders' 'Paris, Texas' (1984), which won the Palme d'Or at Cannes. In the 1990s, her American films included 'Terminal Velocity' with Charlie Sheen, 'One Night Stand,' and 'Your Friends & Neighbors.' Kinski is the daughter of German actor Klaus Kinski, and she has appeared in both European and American productions throughout her career.

In her personal life, Kinski has three children from different relationships. Her son Aljosha, born in 1984, was fathered by actor Vincent Spano. She married Egyptian filmmaker Ibrahim Moussa in 1984, and they had a daughter, Sonja, born in 1986; the marriage ended in 1992. From 1992 to 1995, she lived with musician Quincy Jones, with whom she had a daughter, Kenya, born in 1993. Kinski identifies as bisexual and has been open about her life's complexities. Her slim 34–23–35 frame and natural bust are part of her enduring image as a German actress of notable range.
