About Melanie Sykes
Melanie Sykes met singer Matt Goss in early 1991 and dated him for five years. In January 2001 she married actor Daniel Caltagirone, and the couple had two sons, born in 2002 and 2004. The marriage ended in divorce in June 2009 after a reported separation.
In 2013 she married Jack Cockings at Sherborne Castle in Dorset. Later that year she was arrested and cautioned for an alleged assault against him, but the caution was revoked and deleted from police records. She has since campaigned for better treatment of women facing domestic violence, saying the police mishandled her case.
Sykes received an autism diagnosis in November 2021, which she said gave her a deeper understanding of herself. Her younger son is also autistic. In July 2023 she revealed she had self-diagnosed with Tourette syndrome. She has been a TV and radio host, and worked as a model. She is British, from Ashton-under-Lyne in Greater Manchester. She has brown hair and brown eyes, stands 5'9" tall, and has a slim build.
