Melanie Appleby

Melanie Appleby was a British glamour model and musician whose career was brief but memorable. She was born in London, England, on 11 July 1966. As one half of the 1980s duo Mel and Kim, she and her sister Kim achieved a number one hit on the UK Singles Chart in March 1987 with the song "Respectable." Her work in music ran alongside her modeling career, which began around 1988. She had a slim body type, stood 5'7", and her measurements were 38–25–34. With black hair and brown eyes, she had a striking presence in front of the camera. She was mixed-race and straight. Her time in the spotlight was cut short. She died on 18 January 1990 at the age of 23. In barely two years of activity, she left a lasting impression in both the music and glamour modeling worlds.
