Meera Joshi

Meera's education took her across Ratnagiri, Satara, and Pune. She completed a BA with German as a special subject from Fergusson College in Pune and holds an advanced diploma in German from Ranade Institute. She also completed all levels of the Goethe Institute in Germany. Her childhood was spent training in dance: seven years of Bharatnatyam, two years of Kathak, and three years of Latin American dance styles.

In 2010 she moved to Mumbai to launch her dancing career, starting as a side dancer. She participated in dance reality shows including Dhina Dhin Dha on DD Sahyadri, Street Dance on UTV Bindass, Khallas Dance Ekach Chance on Mi Marathi, Dance Maharashtra Dance on Zee Marathi, Dance India Dance on Zee TV, and Dholkicya Talavar on Colors Marathi. During one show she had an accident and suffered a back injury, which led her to transition to assistant choreography for shows like Nach Baliye, Boogie Woogie, Eka Peksha Ek, and Hindustan Ke Hunarbazz, as well as award shows and films such as Bajirao Mastani.

While shooting for Bajirao Mastani, she was inspired to act onscreen. Her acting debut came in 2013 with the Mi Marathi serial 'Majhe Mann Tujhe Zale'. She appeared in numerous serials like Devayani on Star Pravah, Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan on MTV, Dil Dosti Dobara on Zee Marathi, Tuza Maza Break Up on Zee Marathi, Bayko Ashi Havi on Colors Marathi, Madam Sir on Sab TV, and many others. She also took part in episodic shows such as Savdhaan India and Crime Patrol.

In 2016 she starred in the films Youth and Tujhya Vina Mar Java. She has since been part of films including Gurupournima, Not So Pink, Lal Batti, Vrutti, Sapnon Ki Pathshala, Orange Lily, and Husna. In web series she has appeared in Indori Ishq and Myrah on MX Player and Crimes Aaj Kal on Amazon Mini. She has anchored shows like Diagnosis on Mi Marathi, Jai Sharade on Zee 24 Taas, and an MTDC travel show. She has also worked in many TVCs, short films, promos, and channel events.

As a voice actress, she dubbed for Kriti Sanon in Marathi for the film Panipat. Her portfolio includes more than 30 songs and over 300 brand endorsements. She has received multiple awards, including the Rashtriya Achievers Award 2024 for Best Actress for Orange Lily, Pune Gaurav Puraskar 2023, Most Popular Youth Artist 2023, and Best Actress Global Icon of the Year 2020. She also holds three world records and three India records in dancing. She has 295k Instagram followers. She identifies as straight.
