Maya Lauque

Maya Lauqué is a French journalist and TV host, born on February 11, 1979, in Bayonne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France. At 47 years old, she has built a career spanning over two decades in French television, known for her work on programs like La Quotidienne on France 5.

Lauqué's path to television began in print journalism. At age 18, she worked for the regional daily Sud-Ouest and dance magazines while studying modern literature. After earning a DEUG, she pursued a bachelor's degree at the French Press Institute, though she didn't finish her final exams. In 2000, an internship at Infosport+ led to a job behind the scenes, and she eventually moved in front of the camera. From 2002, she presented Premier League matches for TPS Star in London. In 2006, she joined I-Télé as a newsreader, co-hosting the morning show i matin with Aymeric Caron. She then presented evening news and midday segments, including Le Forum de L'Info. By September 2013, she left I-Télé to co-host La Quotidienne, a consumption program on France 5.
