About Mary Ure
Standing 5'5" with blonde hair and blue eyes, Mary Ure was a Scottish actress whose career spanned nearly two decades. Born in Glasgow on 18 February 1933, she made her mark in both theatre and film. Ure became the second Scottish-born actress, after Deborah Kerr, to receive an Academy Award nomination, for her role in the 1960 film Sons and Lovers.
