About Marketa Slukova
Marketa Slukova is a Czech beach volleyball player who started her professional career in 2004, when she was around 16 years old. She has been active for over two decades. She was named the FIVB World Tour Top Rookie in 2010 and has been consistently ranked among the top fifteen teams in the world. Her biggest achievements include a 5th place finish at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London with partner Kristýna Kolocová, as well as three gold FIVB medals (Prague Open 2014, Berlin Grand Slam 2014, Antalya Open 2015) and one bronze at the Gstaad Grand Slam 2014. From August 2015 until 2021, she played with Barbora Hermannová under coach Simon Nausch. The team qualified for the Tokyo Olympics but had to withdraw after Slukova tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 two days before the competition. She is 5'11" with an athletic build, blonde hair, and blue eyes. She stands out on the court. Off the sand, she maintains an Instagram presence with 32k followers.
