Biography
About Marjorie Rambeau
Marjorie Rambeau began her stage career at the age of 12. By the 1910s and 1920s, she had become a prominent Broadway lead, celebrated for her serene beauty and elegant poise. During those years, she also made a few silent films that went nowhere. She was an American actress, born in San Francisco, California, and she had a slim build with blonde hair and brown eyes. Leaving Broadway in the late 1920s, she turned to Hollywood. By then, her looks had hardened, so she was cast in character roles rather than romantic leads. Rambeau remained active in the industry for 56 years, from 1901 to 1957. She passed away on July 6, 1970, at the age of 80.
