Marianne Williamson

In 1992, she began a career that spans over three decades, and her work has taken many forms. She founded Project Angel Food in Los Angeles in 1989, a volunteer food delivery program that she started to help those in need. She also founded the Peace Alliance, an organization focused on peace-building efforts. Her books, including "Enchanted Love: The Mystical Power of Intimate Relationships" and "The Gift of Change: Spiritual Guidance For a Radically New Life," explore spirituality and personal growth, often drawing from the New Age text "A Course in Miracles." She has been a spiritual advisor to Oprah Winfrey, officiated at the wedding of Elizabeth Taylor and Larry Fortensky, and once shared an apartment in California with actress Laura Dern.

Politically, Williamson has run for president of the United States twice, as a Democratic candidate in 2020 and again in 2024. She has been active in these campaigns, bringing her unique perspective to national discourse. Her personal life includes a brief marriage in 1979 to a Houston businessman, which she later described as lasting "for a minute and a half," and the birth of a daughter in 1990. She has also been an actress, with credits in "Unscripted: Believe at Noon" (2025) and "Voices of Hope ~ Words of Wisdom by Marlon Brando" (2025).
