Maria Kozhevnikova

Russian actress Maria Kozhevnikova was born on November 14, 1984, in Moscow, Russian Federation. She is the daughter of Soviet hockey player Aleksandr Kozhevnikov, a two-time Olympic champion, and English teacher Margarita Kozhevnikova. Kozhevnikova began acting in 2005 while studying at the institute, and she graduated from RATI-GITIS in 2006.

She rose to fame playing Alla Grishko in the comedy series Univer (2008), a role she played for five seasons over three years. Her other credits include Irina in Borodin. Return of the General (2008), Anna Prokhorova in Kremlyovskie kursanty (2009), Vika in the sci-fi film Dark World (2010), and Kristina in Svadba po obmenu (2011). In 2012, she landed several roles: Katya in Just Married, nurse Anya in Sklifosovsky, and then Diana in Sokrovishcha O.K. (2013) and Zhenya in Krasnye gory (2013).

Kozhevnikova was a Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation from December 2011 to October 2016. She holds the title of Master of Sports in rhythmic gymnastics. In September 2009, eight photographs of her appeared in Playboy magazine. She is a mother of four sons, born between 2014 and 2023.
