About Manju Warrier
Indian actress Manju Warrier is one of Malayalam cinema's most celebrated performers. Born in Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu, she began acting at around 15 years old, making her debut with Sakshyam in 1995. Her early career was marked by acclaimed films such as Thooval Kottaram, Sallapam, Ee Puzhayum Kadannu, and Aaraam Thamburan. Over the years, she has received a National Film Award, a Kerala State Film Award, and seven Filmfare Awards South.
After marrying actor Dileep in 1998, Warrier stepped away from the screen. She made a notable comeback in 2014 with the film How Old Are You?, which was widely praised. She lives in Thrissur, Kerala, and shares a daughter, Meenakshi, from her marriage, which ended in divorce in 2015.
Beyond her film work, Warrier is a trained Kuchipudi dancer, having learned from Geetha Padmakumar. She has performed in classical dance programs and returned to the stage at Guruvayur in 2012. In 2014, she received the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Award, becoming the first person honored for Kuchipudi.
