About Manisha Koirala
Manisha Koirala is a Nepalese actress who has worked extensively in Indian cinema, primarily in Hindi and Tamil films. Born in Biratnagar, Nepal, she comes from the politically prominent Koirala family as the daughter of Prakash Koirala and granddaughter of Bishweshwar Prasad Koirala. She has been active since 1989, starting her career at around 18 years old, and has remained a significant figure for over three decades.
Koirala made her acting debut in the Nepali film Pheri Bhetaula in 1989, followed by her Indian cinema debut in the Hindi drama Saudagar in 1991. She went on to achieve commercial success in both Bollywood and Kollywood, starring in notable films such as Bombay, Agni Sakshi, Indian, Gupt: The Hidden Truth, Kachche Dhaage, Mudhalvan, and Company. Her performances have earned her numerous accolades, including three Filmfare Awards, one Filmfare Award South, and one Filmfare OTT Award.
