Malinda Kathleen Reese

Malinda Kathleen Reese is an American musician and YouTuber who first gained attention through her Twisted Translations series, where she translated lyrics and texts through multiple languages back into English using Google Translate. The project brought her over one million subscribers on YouTube. She has since shifted focus to original music and vlogs on her main channel, MALINDA, while continuing to share Irish music covers on TikTok, where she has amassed more than two million followers.

Born on June 27, 1994, in Washington, D.C., Reese grew up surrounded by theater. She performed in numerous plays in the D.C. area, including the role of Girl in the musical Once, which earned her a Helen Hayes Award in 2020. Her debut EP, Love Letter, was released in 2018. She has been active in the entertainment industry since 2014, starting her career around age 20.

In October 2022, Reese came out as bisexual in a video titled "I have some things to tell you." She explained that her involvement with Irish music, which she described as "music of the oppressed," inspired her to go public after previously being a "quiet queer." At 32 years old, she stands 5'7" with brown hair and hazel eyes. Her online presence extends to Instagram, where she has built a following of 819k. She is a self-described slim, Caucasian American with a bisexual identity.
