Maine Mendoza is a Filipino actress, TV host, and writer known for her unconventional rise to fame. She became a household name in 2015 through her viral Dubsmash videos and her role as Yaya Dub in the Eat Bulaga! segment "Kalyeserye," aired on GMA Network and worldwide via GMA Pinoy TV. Her pairing with Alden Richards, dubbed AlDub, formed spontaneously on July 16, 2015, and captivated audiences across the Philippines.
