Lynda Wiesmeier

Her path to fame began in an unlikely place: a doctor's office, where she worked as a receptionist. That all changed when she posed nude for Playboy, becoming the Playmate of the Month for July 1982. The role launched her into a multi-faceted career. As a former actress, adult model, model, and Playboy model, she appeared in Playboy videos, newsstand special editions, and worked as a promotional model and reporter for the Playboy Channel. She also acted in several comedies and low-budget exploitation movies during the early to mid-1980s. Her film debut was in Ralph Bakshi's cult classic American Pop (1981), a memorable start to her screen work.

After wrapping up her acting career, Wiesmeier traded Hollywood for a quieter life. She became an office manager in Lafayette, Louisiana, and later moved back to Southern California. She died at age 49 from a brain tumor on December 16, 2012, in Ramona, California. Her 11-year career, from 1980 to 1991, left a lasting mark on the era's pop culture, and she remains a remembered figure of that time.
