A slim, brown-haired British model and actress with striking blue eyes, Lucy Gordon first caught the public's eye in 1997 when she became a face of CoverGirl. She was born in Oxford, United Kingdom, on 22 May 1980, and began modelling at age 15 in 1995, spending 14 years in the industry. Her acting debut came in 2001 with Perfume, followed by small roles in Serendipity, The Four Feathers, and Spider-Man 3. She took on the role of Jane Birkin in the biopic Gainsbourg, but tragedy struck on 20 May 2009, before its release, when she died by suicide in her Paris flat at age 28.
