Born on 23 October 1957 in San Antonio, Texas, Louann Fernald is perhaps best known as Playboy's Playmate of the Month for June 1979. She is American, of Caucasian ethnicity. Growing up in Florida, where her father grew oranges and worked on missile systems, she later attended the University of Florida.
Fernald was discovered through the 25th Anniversary Great Playmate Hunt. After her pictorial, she married and had three children. She has since worked as a stockbroker, a business owner, and a public relations consultant. She is an avid runner, having completed the 1988 New York City Marathon in under four hours. In 1996, she began law school. Standing 5'4" with a slim build, she has naturally black hair and brown eyes. Her measurements are 35–23–34.
