Standing at 5'4" with a slim build, Lottie Pickford was a Canadian actress whose brown eyes and brown hair became familiar to silent film audiences. Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1893, she pursued an acting career that spanned from 1901 to 1925, a productive stretch of 24 years. Her most recognized roles include Fanchon, the Cricket (1915), White Roses (1910), and A Strange Meeting (1909). She also appeared in The Diamond from the Sky (1915), directed by William Desmond Taylor.

As the middle child of stage actress Charlotte Hennessey, Lottie was the younger sister of Mary Pickford, one of the era's biggest stars, and the elder sister of actor Jack Pickford. Her career, though overshadowed by her siblings, saw her as part of the celebrated Pickford acting family. Her personal life included four marriages, with a child born during her first marriage to Alfred Rupp. She later married Allan Forrest, Russel O. Gillard, and finally John William Lock, who remained with her until her death.

Lottie passed away on December 9, 1936, in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 43, due to chronic alcoholism. She was straight and of Caucasian ethnicity.
