Biography
About Linda Wong
Linda Wong, born Linda Carol Seki in San Francisco, California, was a pioneering Asian-American adult performer who became one of the first Asian stars in American adult cinema. Raised in a traditional Asian-American household, she was a homecoming queen at Kennedy High School in Richmond, California, in 1969. She pursued dance in college and briefly worked as a ballerina before entering the adult industry. Her pre-adult-industry jobs included working as a secretary for famed attorney Melvin Belli and as a masseuse in Las Vegas under the name Linda Ching.
Wong entered adult content in the mid-1970s through nude modeling, appearing in Hustler magazine, which led to offers for porn films. Her career spanned from 1976 to 1981, with a brief return in 1985, and she appeared in approximately 66 films. She was known for her full-throttle performances in interracial sex, deepthroat blowjobs, anal penetration, lesbian strap-on scenes, and group orgies. Her most well-known movies include Oriental Babysitter (1976), The Jade Pussycat (1977), and China Lust (1976). Her frequent co-stars included John Holmes, Georgina Spelvin, and Joey Silvera. She also had nude pictorials in Playboy's October 1977 "Ladies of Joy" and Playboy's 1980 Girls of Playboy 4.
Physically, Wong was described as sultry and exotic, with a slim build, black hair, and brown eyes. She stood 5'7" and had natural B-cup breasts. Despite her notable career, she faced personal struggles with drug addiction, which led to an arrest for attempting to buy codeine with a forged prescription. She spent two months in jail and was out on bail at the time of her death. Wong died on December 17, 1987, at age 36, from an accidental overdose of Xanax, alcohol, and chloral hydrate in a motel room in Petaluma, California. She was married twice, first to Brian Ching and later to Cid Spader Mad Jack. Her legacy as a pioneering Asian performer was recognized with posthumous induction into the XRCO Hall of Fame in 1999.
