Lim Ji-hye

Lim stepped back from her career after marrying on February 22, 2014. She later divorced in 2018 and resumed modeling and streaming under the stage name BJ Imvely. Her popularity grew significantly after 2019 when she became a live streamer on platforms like YouTube and AfreecaTV. She was known for her direct, unfiltered style and had built a dedicated following.

Her life ended under tragic circumstances. On June 11, 2023, she took part in a live stream with other broadcasters. While the event appeared jovial and involved drinking, Lim was seen arguing with another young woman. Hours later, at home, she started what would become her final broadcast on YouTube. During that stream, she tearfully apologized to her family, displayed a copy of her will, and walked off screen. Her will included the phrases "I feel sorry for my girls" and "I hope I won't feel guilty living my life in the future." Friends called repeatedly, and paramedics eventually stopped the broadcast. On June 13, 2023, she was found in critical condition after what media described as an "extreme act." She suffered two cardiac arrests and was unconscious in the hospital. She died on that day at age 37. Her obituary appeared on her Instagram on June 19, 2023. Police are investigating the circumstances, including whether her suicide was encouraged. She left behind two daughters, her parents, and two brothers.
