Leona Lewis

British singer-songwriter Leona Lewis was born on 3 April 1985 in Islington, Greater London, England. She first rose to fame by winning the television talent contest The X Factor in 2006, which earned her a £1 million recording contract. Her debut single, "A Moment Like This," became the Christmas number one after selling 571,253 copies in shops and via download. Lewis followed with "Bleeding Love" on 22 October 2007, which topped the charts in Britain and reached number one in the United States. It sold 218,805 copies in its first week of release. Her first album, Spirit, arrived in November 2007, and her second, Echo, was released on 9 November 2009. She also embarked on her first concert tour, The Labyrinth, in 2010. Her songs include "Better in Time" and "Bleeding Love." Lewis is mixed-race, primarily Black, stands 5'7" tall, and has brown hair and green eyes.
