Lea Porter

What most sets Lea Porter apart is the tragic way her life ended: she was killed by a high school friend, and her body was never recovered. Lea Chali Porter was born on December 28, 1994, in Colorado, United States. She was American, Caucasian, straight, with brown hair and brown eyes. At 5'5" and 99 lbs, she had a slim build. A 2013 graduate of Florence High School, she was described as bright and adventurous, with a pierced lower lip and tattoos including a tribal design on her right hand/wrist and Italian words on her upper back.

In early June 2014, Lea headed to Westminster, Colorado, to visit a high school acquaintance and explore moving to the city. She was last seen on June 3, 2014, wearing a lavender tank top and a black-and-white checkered skirt. Her disappearance sparked an intense search by family and law enforcement. Her high school friend Christopher Adam Waide was later charged and, in 2015, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and additional charges, receiving a 48-year prison sentence. Despite a massive search that included parts of a landfill, Lea's body was never found.

Lea's story has been featured in true crime coverage, including the Crime Junkie podcast episode "MISSING: Lea Porter." Her case remains a somber reminder of the pain of unsolved elements in homicide cases. Rest in peace, Lea. 💔🕊️
