Biography
About Laurie Wood
American model Laurie Wood first came to public attention in 1989 when she was chosen as Playboy's Playmate of the Month for March. Born on June 23, 1967, in Orange, California, she grew up in Sparks, Nevada, and graduated from Sparks High School in 1985. Her career was brief, spanning just one year from 1988 to 1989, during which she posed for Playboy and appeared in a couple of Playboy videos before stepping away from the spotlight.
Wood's decision to pose nude was personal. According to her Playboy profile, she did it as a surprise birthday present for her husband Jeff, whom she married while he was a Coast Guard yeoman. She was still a virgin when they first married, and she suggested in her pictorial that her appearance was a gift to him. She did not pose for the magazine again after her initial session; later Playboy appearances were outtakes from those 1988-89 shoots. Standing 5'10" with hazel hair and brown eyes, she has a natural 32D bust and measurements of 36-25-36, with an average build.
