Biography
About Lauren Hutton
Lauren Hutton is an American actress and model, born on November 17, 1943, in Charleston, South Carolina. Raised in the southern United States, she moved to New York City in early adulthood to pursue modeling. Though agents initially dismissed her due to a signature gap in her teeth, she signed a record-breaking contract with Revlon in 1973, which at the time was the biggest contract in modeling industry history. She stands 5'7" with a slim build, blonde hair, blue eyes, and natural 34B measurements, and she has continued to work well into her seventies, appearing in campaigns for H&M, Lord and Taylor, and Alexander Wang, and walking the runway for Tom Ford's spring 2012 collection and Bottega Veneta at the 2016 New York Fashion Week.
Hutton made her film debut in the sports drama Paper Lion (1968), opposite Alan Alda. She later played central roles in The Gambler (1974) with James Caan and American Gigolo (1980). Her other film credits include Lassiter (1984), Once Bitten (1985), Guilty as Charged (1992), and an uncredited cameo in Perfect (1985). On television, she joined the short-lived primetime soap Paper Dolls in 1984, co-starred in the miniseries Sins (1986) with Joan Collins, appeared in the TV movie The Return of Mike Hammer alongside Stacy Keach, and starred in the sci-fi Timestalkers (1987). She also guest-starred on Falcon Crest and played wealthy socialite Linda Fairchild in the CBS soap Central Park West from 1995 until its cancellation in 1996.
In 1996, Hutton hosted her own late-night talk show, Lauren Hutton and..., produced by Turner Original Productions. Her partner at the time, Luca Babini, directed and designed the set, and together they founded Lula Productions as part of the Turner arrangement. The show ran until 1997. Hutton returned to feature films after a two-decade absence with The Joneses (2009), starring alongside David Duchovny and Demi Moore. She was drawn to the script, explaining that she saw capitalism as potentially vicious and that she never wanted to spend time on red carpets wearing expensive dresses. She is 82 years old, with a slim build, blonde hair, and blue eyes.
