Lauren Chen

Lauren Chen, born Lauren Yu Sum Tam on June 30, 1994, in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada, is a writer, director, producer, blogger, and former YouTuber. She is of Hongkongese descent and holds dual American and Canadian nationality. Chen began her career in 2016, initially creating videos under the name Roaming Millennial, and has since built a following across platforms, including 167k followers on Instagram and 577k on X. She currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee, with her husband Liam Donovan, a move they made permanently in part to escape Justin Trudeau's government.

After studying in California and Utah, Chen returned to Canada for a time before settling in the United States. From 2019 to 2020, she produced a commentary show for BlazeTV titled 'Pseudo-Intellectual'. As of 2021, she has produced commentary videos independently and co-hosts the podcast 'No Malarkey' with Marie Oaks. However, her career hit a significant pause in 2024 when she took a year-long hiatus from social media.

That hiatus stemmed from a joint DOJ and Canadian investigation into her now-defunct media company, Tenet Media, on charges of collusion with Russia. All charges were dropped in April 2025 due to lack of evidence, and Chen subsequently filed a countersuit against the US DOJ. She returned to social media on September 7, 2025. At 5'5" with a slim build, black hair, and brown eyes, she presents a professional and direct style in her commentary. She is straight and has no tattoos.
