Laure Sainclair

French by nationality, Laure Sainclair was born Laurence Fontaine on May 24, 1972 near Rennes, Brittany, France. She entered the adult industry in 1993 and was active until 2000, a span of 7 years. Her career began with a striptease contest at the 1995 Adult Exhibition in Rennes, but she was initially repelled by the working conditions and decided to step away.

Marc Dorcel later approached her and persuaded her to return with an exclusive contract. She shot 16 movies and in 1996 received the Hot d'Or prize for Best European Starlet. In 1997 she co-starred with Jenna Jameson in the blockbuster Wicked Weapon. She went on to work for Wicked Video's European division until 2000, appearing in titles like "L'Obsession de Laure", "L'Heritage de Laure", and "L'Indecente aux Enfers". Her body of work remains limited, as she never made more than a handful of films in any one year, and she almost always played the central character. She performed in vaginal and anal scenes, working with performers like Roberto Malone and Christoph Clark. She is sometimes listed on English titles as Laure Sinclair or Laura Sinclair.

After leaving the adult industry, Sainclair moved into radio, a path similar to Tabatha Cash. She also became active in campaigning for people with AIDS, showing a more socially responsible side.
