Laura San Giacomo

Laura San Giacomo is an American actress with a career spanning nearly four decades. Born on November 14, 1961, in West Orange, New Jersey, she discovered her passion for acting in high school, where she took the lead in several school plays. She earned a Fine Arts degree in acting from Carnegie Mellon School of Drama before moving to New York to pursue her career.

Her breakout role came in 1989 with Steven Soderbergh's Sex, Lies, and Videotape, which won the Palme d'Or at Cannes. She earned a Golden Globe nomination and the Los Angeles Film Critics Association's New Generation Award. In 1990, she played Kit De Luca in Pretty Woman opposite Julia Roberts and Richard Gere. Over the next few years, she appeared in films such as Quigley Down Under, Once Around, and The Stand. She also voiced a character in the animated series Gargoyles.

In 1997, San Giacomo landed the role of Maya Gallo in the sitcom Just Shoot Me!, a part she played for all 148 episodes across seven seasons. After the show ended in 2003, she took on varied roles, including narrating the true crime series Snapped and appearing in Veronica Mars and Saving Grace. She has also been active in theater, performing in stage productions like Wrong Turn at Lungfish and Italian American Reconciliation. She is 5'2" with brown hair and brown eyes, and her measurements are 37-27-35. She was married to Cameron Dye from 1990 to 1998 and has a son, Mason, born in 1996.
