Krysten Ritter

Krysten Ritter is an American actress and former glamour model known for her roles in Breaking Bad and Jessica Jones. She was born on December 16, 1981, in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, and raised in rural Shickshinny. At 15, she was scouted by a modeling agent at a local shopping center, leading to work with Elite Model Management and Wilhelmina Models. She modeled internationally in Tokyo, New York, Paris, and Milan before transitioning to acting.

Her breakout came as Jane Margolis in Breaking Bad, a role she reprised in El Camino. She later starred as the title character in Marvel's Jessica Jones, a former superhero turned private investigator, and reprised the role in The Defenders and the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again. Her film credits include Mona Lisa Smile, 27 Dresses, and Sonic the Hedgehog 3. She also led the series Orphan Black: Echoes and appeared in Love & Death.

Beyond acting, Ritter co-wrote and starred in the indie comedy Life Happens, directed an episode of Jessica Jones, and plays guitar in the indie rock duo Ex Vivian. She has written two novels: Bonfire and Retreat. She is 5'9" with black hair, hazel eyes, and a slim build. She is a straight American of Caucasian ethnicity.
