Her career also included recognition as Playboy France's Playmate of the Month in October 1977, and Playboy Italy and Playboy Japan both named her Playmate of the Month in November 1977. She was an athletic 5'6" with natural measurements of 34–24.5–34, and she performed full nudity in her work.
Winder was a pseudonym. She chose it to keep her modeling a secret from her father, but the alias didn't provide the cover she hoped for. Families in Vancouver bearing the Winder surname began receiving obscene phone calls from people across North America asking for "Kristine Winder."
