Kenya's sound blends influences from artists like Banks, Flume, and Nao, as well as Norah Jones and Katie Melua. She often begins her creative process by crafting the instrumental track first. The Official Charts Company likened her voice to a mix of PinkPantheress, Charli XCX, and Piri. Reflecting on her musical upbringing, she once joked about the contrast between her parents' Fleetwood Mac and her brother's heavy drum'n'bass. That eclectic background informs her genre-crossing style.
During the COVID-19 lockdown in England, she wrote the track "Talk." She shares original music on her Instagram account, kenyagrace, where she has amassed over 650k followers.
